Leather Care
Natural leather is a living material. Well cared for, a pair of Lumine shoes can last ten to fifteen years. These are the rituals we recommend.
After every wear
Brush gently with a soft-bristle brush to remove dust. Store pairs with cedar shoe trees so they keep their shape.
Every two weeks
Apply a thin layer of neutral nourishing cream with a cotton cloth. Leave to rest for ten minutes, remove the excess and buff with a soft brush.
Seasonal waterproofing
Before winter, apply a matte waterproofing spray. Never use silicone products: they seal the pores and suffocate the leather.
If they get wet
Dry them at room temperature, never near a heat source. Fill with absorbent paper and wait 24 hours before applying cream.
